About Check A Car

Check A Car helps UK drivers and automotive businesses make safer decisions with instant vehicle history reports and AI buyer insights. We turn a UK registration (VRM) into a report covering tax status, MOT status/history, stolen and write‑off markers, outstanding finance, and mileage consistency (availability varies by vehicle/source), then present plain‑English guidance on what matters and what to do next.

What you'll do

  • Provide timely, friendly support via email for UK car buyers using our checks and reports.
  • Help customers understand what their report means (and what it doesn’t), and what they should do next.
  • Troubleshoot common issues: VRM entry problems, checkout/payment questions, report access, account/history, and data discrepancies.
  • Document patterns and insights to improve our product, report clarity, and help center.
  • Collaborate with Engineering/Operations to resolve issues quickly and improve internal tooling/processes.

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent written communication and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in a support or operations role (ideally in a consumer-facing product).
  • Ability to context‑switch, stay organized, and keep high quality under time pressure.
  • Comfort working with sensitive topics (risk markers/finance) with empathy and precision.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with UK car buying concepts (MOT history, write‑off categories, finance markers)
  • Experience with ticketing systems and building lightweight help docs/FAQs
